Understanding your result

TDEE vs BMR

BMR is what you burn at rest; TDEE adds the calories from daily movement and exercise. TDEE is the more useful number for planning.

How it's estimated

We use the Mifflin-St Jeor equation for BMR, then multiply by an activity factor. It's an estimate, individual metabolism varies.

Using your TDEE

Eat around your TDEE to maintain, below it to lose, above it to gain. A provider can help you do this safely and sustainably.
